BluBeam Pro is the desktop app for Linux. BluBeam Pro Server is the self-hosted web version you run on your own server and reach from any browser — with the same agents, workflows, and features.

BluBeam Pro ships as a standard .deb package, so it runs on Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, and Pop!_OS. It’s built and tested on Linux Mint.

Download the .deb package from blubeam.pro and install it like any other Linux app — double-click to open it in your software installer, or install it from the terminal. The installer sets everything up for you: the app, its launcher, and a menu entry, in a few guided steps.

No. BluBeam Pro is visual and point-and-click. You pick a template or drag steps onto a canvas, choose which agent runs each step, and press run. The agents and 100+ ready-made workflows work out of the box. Advanced users can go further by customizing agents and building their own workflows.

The app itself runs locally on your machine, and browsing your saved agents, workflows, and past results doesn’t require the AI. Generating AI results needs an internet connection so BluBeam can reach the AI provider you configured.

If you prefer, you can run a local model with Ollama — in which case BluBeam Pro can work fully offline.

You choose. BluBeam Pro works with Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and Google (Gemini), and with local models through Ollama. A built-in model catalog lets you assign different models to different agents — a powerful model for strategy, a lighter one for quick drafting — so you can balance quality, speed, and cost.

Yes — BluBeam Pro is “bring your own key.” You add your provider API keys once in the Tools / Settings section, and from then on your agents and workflows use them. Prefer to keep everything local and free of any external key? Run a local model with Ollama instead.

Yes. Just like the desktop app, BluBeam Pro Server runs on your own AI provider API keys. After you sign in, open Tools / Settings and add a key for at least one provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). As soon as a key is saved, the AI features — agents, chat, and workflows — are ready to use.

Your keys are stored on your own server and are used only to communicate with the AI provider you chose. They are never shared with BluBeam or anyone else.

Three big ones. You pay your AI provider directly at their normal rates, with no markup. You stay in full control of your own usage and spending limits. And you get to pick the exact models you want to run. Your prompts also go straight from your machine to the provider you chose.

On the desktop, your keys and data stay on your own computer. On BluBeam Pro Server, they stay on your own server. blubeam.pro never receives your AI provider keys — they’re used only to talk to the AI provider you selected, and are never sent to BluBeam or any third party.

You need an account with at least one AI provider (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini) and an API key from them — most are pay-as-you-go, so you only pay for what you use. BluBeam doesn’t charge you per task; the AI providers bill you directly based on usage.

BluBeam includes a built-in Usage & Cost view so you can track token consumption and spend per agent, model, and day. Alternatively, run a local model with Ollama at no provider cost (you supply the computer).

Agents are named AI specialists, each with a role — for example a CEO, content writer, SEO specialist, email marketer, CFO, lead developer, or designer (50 in total). Each has its own instructions, so the right kind of thinking is applied to each task. You can use them as they are, adjust their instructions, or create your own.

Yes. BluBeam Pro includes 108 ready-made workflow templates across Business, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Social Media, Side Hustles, and Leadership — organized so you can find and run the right one quickly. Use them as they are, tweak them, or build your own.

Absolutely. You can create custom agents and design your own multi-step workflows on the visual workflow canvas, then save them to your library and reuse them whenever you like.

Yes. Jobs let you run an agent or an entire workflow on a schedule — daily, on weekdays, weekly, and so on — in your own time zone, without starting them by hand. You can assign an “Agent Leader” to oversee the run and keep the team on task.

Out of the box, agents draft emails and social posts for you to review. To actually send email or publish to social, you connect a service with your own account — AgentMail for email and Zernio for social publishing.

Everything you create — agents, workflows, jobs, settings, and keys — is stored locally on your own machine (desktop) or your own server (Server). BluBeam Pro is local-first by design; your work is not kept in someone else’s cloud.

No. Your workflows and prompts run from your machine directly to the AI provider you chose. BluBeam isn’t in the middle of your agent runs, and we don’t collect your prompts or results.

Yes. BluBeam has a built-in Backup & Restore feature, including scheduled automatic backups, so you can save your agents, workflows, settings, and keys — and restore them later or move to a new machine.

Yes. BluBeam Pro runs as Basic by default. A Pro key unlocks Pro features — including the full workflow template library. See blubeam.pro for current plans and pricing.

Buy a Pro key on blubeam.pro. You’ll receive a 32-character key that looks like “BLUB-XXXX-XXXX-…”. Open BluBeam Pro, go to Settings → License, paste your key, and click Register. Pro unlocks right away.

Your data stays on your computer either way — it’s stored locally, not tied to our servers. A Pro key unlocks Pro features while your license is active.

BluBeam Pro checks for updates and can install the latest version in a few clicks — you’ll be prompted when a new version is available. BluBeam Pro Server can update itself from within its own control panel.
