What are cookies

Cookies we currently use
BluBeam is designed to be privacy-preserving. Our website currently sets only the following strictly necessary, first-party cookies:
Session / authentication cookies — to sign you in to your account, keep you signed in, and secure your session on the site. These are essential; without them you cannot log in or use account features.
Security cookies — to help protect the site and your account against fraud and abuse (for example, in connection with our login-protection measures).
Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested, they may be set without consent under most applicable laws. We do not currently use analytics, performance, functionality, or advertising cookies, and we do not set third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

(a) Strictly necessary
Required for the website to function and to keep it secure — for example, authentication and session cookies. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
(b) Performance
Would help us understand and analyze how the site performs so we can deliver a better experience. Not currently used.
(c) Analytics
Would help us understand how visitors interact with the site (for example, number of visitors, traffic sources). Not currently used.
(d) Functionality
Would enable enhanced functionality and personalization. Not currently used beyond what is strictly necessary.
(e) Advertisement
Would be used to deliver or measure advertising. Not used — BluBeam’s site does not serve third-party advertising.
What technology we use to preserve your privacy
Privacy is built into how we operate the site. We minimize the data our cookies involve, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Separately, the BluBeam application’s optional error-reporting feature (which is off by default and unrelated to website cookies) automatically removes credentials such as API keys, tokens, and email addresses before any report is sent. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will favor privacy-preserving, aggregated measurement and disclose it here.
What cookies are stored by service providers
Some service providers we rely on to operate the site (for example, our hosting and content-delivery provider) may set strictly necessary cookies required to serve and secure the site. These are not advertising cookies.
BluBeam does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Facebook/Meta pixels, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), or similar third-party advertising or analytics trackers on its website. If any such provider is added in the future, we will name it here, describe the cookies it sets and their categories, link to its privacy policy, and obtain your consent where required.
Affiliate note. BluBeam may participate in affiliate programs for third-party AI models and services (see our Terms of Service). Where an affiliate program uses cookies to attribute referrals, we will identify the provider and cookie category here before enabling it, and obtain consent where required.
